Post‑CNY Sustainability Actions Across Hong Kong and Mainland China

Following the Lunar New Year celebrations, Saint‑Gobain teams across Hong Kong and Mainland China continued to advance our commitment to sustainability through a series of hands‑on, waste‑reduction activities. Colleagues from Wan Chai, Yuen Long, Yunfu, and Guangzhou took part in meaningful workshops that transformed leftover festive citrus into practical, environmentally friendly products.

Across multiple locations, colleagues participated in DIY sessions to convert leftover tangerine peels into natural citrus enzyme cleaners. These workshops brought together teams in a collaborative and engaging environment, emphasising simple but impactful ways to reduce waste during and beyond the festive season. Activities were filled with the fresh scent of citrus, accompanied by shared learning and teamwork.

In Guangzhou, colleagues also prepared homemade preserved kumquats, adding a traditional and meaningful touch to the initiative. This activity not only celebrated cultural heritage but also highlighted how small habits can contribute to more mindful consumption.

The enthusiasm and participation across offices reflected a strong collective commitment to greener practices. As reinforced in internal communications, these initiatives form part of our ongoing effort to embed sustainable habits into daily life and support the company’s broader ESG objectives.

We extend our sincere appreciation to all teams involved for their active participation and positive energy. Your dedication plays an important role in strengthening a sustainability‑driven culture across our organisation.

Saint‑Gobain will continue to champion practical, accessible, and collaborative actions that help reduce environmental impact — one meaningful step at a time.
